This was originally a suggestion but the more time goes on, I see it as a "bug".
This option has caused so much trouble for my clients. For third-party styles, if they export their style and check that box, it exports the style with every single option in the framework, making future upgrades practically impossible.
I see this as a development feature and ideally should be locked behind dev mode.
