I'm not sure if this is an issue or if it's how it just works, but with a PWA app icon on mobile (Android Samsung S20) you have to double-tap the app icon for it to work.
A single tap will open a blank page
Close the page, tap the icon again and the forum will display
or, just double tap the icon and the forum displays
